I believe food is what makes all of this come together. The chakras, the skin, the hair, the body, your happiness, your energy, focus and motivation. Food is what we live for, it's what we survive for and what we work so hard to make sure we have everyday. Of course it matters what we are putting into our bodies. Everything we eat and drink is connected to each organ and chakra. Including junk processed food and alcohol. It all contributes to the chakras which are also known as your organs. Root chakra foods are foods that bring you comfort and security which also happens to be a lot of foods that grow underneath the ground, gaining it's nutrients and vitamins from the soil below. They are known as root vegetables. Carrots, potatoes, beets, onions, garlics, ginger are all common root vegetables that you can find anywhere. Also lean meats, eggs, any good source of lean and low fat protein helps balance the root chakra. Protein is great for the root chakra because it gives our bodies essential amino acids. It helps rebuild our energy and heals our body when resting. Foods for the Sacral Chakra are foods that bring you sweetness, and tenderness such as fruits and chocolates. Strawberries, melons, peaches, apples, pumpkins, and oranges are common fruits that are great for this chakra and easy to find. Chocolate is great for this chakra because it not only enhances your libido, it brings you real joy when you eat it. Fish is also very valuable for this chakra for it's protein, omega 3's, and being that it connects with the flow of water. The Solar Plexus Chakra foods are foods that bring you power. Grains, oats, nuts, seeds, and protein such as beans and lentils are great food sources for this chakra. If you are vegan, a lot of your protein choices comes from this chakra. These foods give you strength, energy, and power to get up and take action. The Heart Chakra needs foods that are great for the heart which just so happens to be a lot of leafy green foods. Greens, arugula, kale, lettuce, green beans, peas, celery, and brussel sprouts are some of the best choices of foods you can eat to enhance the health of your heart. Eating greens with every meal is a great way to make sure you are getting what you need for this chakra. Soothing liquids and foods are what's best for the Throat Chakra. Water, cold and hot teas, coconut water, fruit juices, smoothies, lemons, limes, oranges, or grapefruits brings vitamin C and citrus to the throat helping heal and balance this chakra. Soups made with fresh ingredients cold or hot are also great for this chakra. This is also why soups have been used to heal sore throats since the beginning of time. For the Third Eye Chakra you want to feed yourself food for the eyes and brain. Blueberries, blackberries, purple cabbage, purple carrots, eggplants, and water all help heighten the senses of this chakra. Real cocoa chocolate is also a great food source for the third eye chakra, bringing you serotonin and relieving your stress especially around the brain and pineal gland. The Crown Chakra is only balanced when the other 6 chakras are balanced. Imagine two snakes intertwining up each chakra waking and rotating each one at a beautiful balanced pace, as if each chakra has been unlocked. Once you hit the crown chakra, pure white light takes over your body and you are one with everything in you, around you, and through out. You are fulfilled, the air alone is feeding this chakra.
