a romantic camping night
I love camping in the fall, cozying up to one another around a warm, sparkling, bonfire. Eating s'mores, with the red leaves falling everywhere. It's magical. In the fall it's fresh, brisk air. Putting on my puffy coat and sweats and lounging around outside, taking it all in, is a mediation in its self. Check out how we had the perfect camp night, easy, and inexpensively...

Shelter: Our tent cost $60
First thing we do is set up our tent. We found a great tent for two that was only $60 and will last for years. It only took me 10 minutes to completely set up the tent
Food and drinks: Cost $80
Bring food and a lighter! Easy to cook and easy to snack on. This will make it much easier for you to enjoy your time and relax, munching whenever you please.
Ice and Cooler: bag cost $5
Grab a cooler bag and ice. It works so amazing. It's deeper than it appears and was able to perfectly hold all of my cold foods and kept it cold overnight, great investment.
Pillows and Blankets
Bring your fluffy blankets and pillows. I also brought my two yoga mats to use as a soft surface. Just make sure you will be warm and comfortable as if your stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Fire-pit, fire-wood, chairs
We found a beautiful campsite that already had a built in campfire which is very much needed. Chairs to make sure you can sit by the fire especially if you want to warm up and make s'mores!
2-3 Gallons of water $5
Always make sure you have water with you, again as if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. We used this water to clean our hands, utensils, etc. A flashlight plus this gallon equals a lit campsite.
Backpack full of necessities:
Always bring a back pack with a first aid kit, flashlights, knives, napkins, towels, batteries, anything that you will need in case of emergency and no electricity.
Boots and Hot dogs
Wearing thick, warm, solid boots is a must when camping in the cold. Always wear layers and thick socks. You can always add or subtract layers.
S'mores are a MUST
All you need is graham crackers, Hersey chocolate bars, marshmallows, and a long sturdy stick or poker to execute the perfect late night treat for around the campfire.
